Party Games

Party games are a great way to break the ice and help shy children feel more comfortable and involved in the party, especially children who may not know any of the other guests.

Games should be age appropriate – remember that the younger the child the less able they will be able to concentrate for long periods of time (and sit still!) so keep things simple and easy to understand for young kids.

Older children will enjoy ‘brain teaser’-style or memory games, such as ‘What’s On the Tray’ and Charades.

These tips for breaking the ice should help everyone feel relaxed too

Choosing A Theme

Maybe it's a birthday party, or a holiday party, or I'm-having-a-party-because-I-can party. No matter what the occassion, even if you don't have one, it's good to clarify on a theme.

However, if you don't want a theme, then you can skip this page entirely. If you DO want a theme, then that's great cos the rest of the planning will be so much easier.

Favorite book, movie or television show? Maybe a fascination with police officers or animals?

Whether you want to host a simple or elaborate party, selecting a party theme from this list is an awesome start to a perfect party.

Have fun!

Party Bag Ideas

Party bags can sometimes work out expensive, but if you shop around they don’t have to break the bank. Many supermarkets and inexpensive retailers sell a range of items to suit all budgets.

You can pick a theme for your bags or just pick a random array of fun little items - kids love going home and tipping the contents of their bags all over the floor to see what's inside!
